Dance 15

This 3 credit dance course give students the opportunity to study dance techniques in the disciplines of jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and improvisation. Students also study history, theory, composition, and music appreciation.
Students also have an opportunity to attend dance performances and perform themselves. As dance students come with varying levels of technical skill, dance experience is matched with the appropriate level of instruction.
Dance 25 & 35

Available as 3 or 5 credit courses will offer dancers with the opportunity to further explore the dance genres of jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, musical theatre, hip hop, and improvisation. The course is designed to expose dancers to a broad range of aesthetic experiences and flourish their curiosity about, appreciation, and lifelong interest in dance, setting them up for success in the arts beyond their high school experience. Students in this program perform at school events, liturgies and competitions, and attend local dance performances.
