Art 10   ( 3 credit, 5 credit) 
Emphasis is placed on learning the Elements and Principles of Art and Design while exploring various techniques and materials. Students will dive into the basics of shading, drawing, painting and sculpture as they learn about art history and the evolution of modern art. 
Art 20  ( 3 credit, 5 credit)
Art 20 builds on the skills acquired in Art 10 with a focus on originality and exploration.  Using a variety of mediums and knowledge of art history, students skillfully apply the Elements and Principles of Art and Design while developing a personal style and exploring individual expression. 
Art 30   (5 credit only) 
Art 30 demands commitment of personal expression, originality, and personal effort.  All students develop a theme and unravel it throughout the course. Projects involve higher level thinking as well as refined skills and techniques. Emphasis is placed on developing an original body of work that will represent a personal style and express the voice of the artist. 
Advanced Placement Studio Art 20 + 30 (5 Credit Only)
AP Studio Art and Design is an advanced placement high school course with college level expectations. This course is developed to accommodate students who have demonstrated a high level of skill and commitment to excel in art. All students will submit a portfolio at the end of AP Studio Art 30 that is tied to a theme or question that they want to investigate and has followed the AP Studio Art Portfolio Submission requirements. Students will develop skills through practice, experimentation, revision, and reflection.  The AP Studio Art courses are designed to be the equivalent of a one-semester, introductory university course in 2-D art and design, 3-D art and design, respectively. Qualifying students will be invited to join the AP program at the end of Art 10.
