MARKETING & MANAGEMENT 10, 20 & 30

Students learn about basic management and marketing concepts and describe retail merchandising strategies of value to the retail employee, manager or owner. At advanced levels, students learn about the target customer and the selling floor, including sales and non sales activities. Students demonstrate techniques required by employees in the field.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT 10, 20 & 30

Financial Management 10 includes the basic principles and procedures of accounting for both the individual and business. The accounting cycle as it relates to a business and accounting practices are introduced.

In Financial Management 20, students utilize accounting software as they complete the accounting cycle for a retail business. Students also learn basic tax principles and utilize taxation software.
PRE-REQUISITE: Financial Management 10 
Advanced accounting and business accounting will form the basis of Financial Management 30. This course will be of interest to students in a business pathway; students planning for a related financial management field; or students planning on becoming involved in small business.
