CAREER CONNECTIONS:
System Developers, Programmers, Intelligence Analysts, Computer System Engineers

At the 10 level, students explore the fundamental principles of Computer Science (CS) concepts, computer hardware and processes. This includes an introduction to the algorithm as a problem-solving tool and programming languages (Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Java). Students work with structured programming including input, process and output data.
At the 20 level, students explore software, hardware and processes at an intermediate level. Students develop their understanding of the procedural programming paradigm, design code and debug programs which use a set of data structures that increase their understanding of Internet scripting.
PRE-REQUISITE: Computer Science 10
Computer Science 30 (5 credits) can be used towards postsecondary entrance admission. Students explore hardware, software and processes at an advanced level including object-oriented programming, interactive data processing algorithm and dynamic websites.
PRE-REQUISITE: Computer Science 20
