CHAPLAIN
Every Edmonton Catholic High School has a Chaplain in their school. The Chaplain’s role is not only to teach in the classroom but also to coordinate prayers and liturgical celebrations; provide spiritual advice; serve as a resource for students, staff and parents; liaison with local parishes; and assist with social justice activities.

During the school year, MMM students come together every morning in prayer; participate in several social justice initiatives; participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation; come together throughout the liturgical seasons to celebrate liturgies of the Word; as well as go to St. Thomas More Parish for mass.

WORLD RELIGIONS 30

World Religion 30 provides students insight into global communities and how religion has impacted the world, currently and throughout history. Students study the fundamental principles of world religions from a Catholic perspective.
RELIGION 15, 25 & 35

Religion 15 is intended to help students understand what it means to be “fully alive” by exploring the importance of
belonging through a sociological perspective of Catholic religious studies and the meaning of faith within their lives.
Religion 25 addresses real life issues in terms of personal beliefs and their effect on the decisions and directions adolescents and adults make in their lives. Students use knowledge gained in Religious Studies 25 to foster a meaningful understanding of the history and foundations of the Catholic faith.

Participants in Religion 35 are encouraged to explore the human search for meaning using the resources of personal inquiry and significant spiritual traditions. Students are asked to explore how their relationship to the world around them is often shaped by television, peers, music, etc. and continue to search for ways which will bring them into closer relationship with the self, others & God.
